My first go-to is the documentation sites of the software I'm working with. Then it's google in general, which usually lead me to useful SO posts or forum posts.

YouTube is not as much for finding information as for actually delving deep into a whole new subject in terms of tutorials and examples. So I guess I mostly use YouTube for "online presentations"

ChatGPT I only use to bootstrap solutions or to spit out code I already know how to write, but when I can spend my time doing something better instead.

Chat GPT won't help you with questions that aren't already answered on StackOverflow. And YouTube is still good for dev philosophy.

If you are a dev, ChatGPT will become another tool in your box. If you are a code monkey, it will replace you in that box.

When playing around with ChatGPT, code snippets often don't work (missing functions/parameters/etc.). But maybe it's just me and I have to improve my prompts? lol

@SuspiciousBug it’s not just you. I’ve asked it to write me an essay with references and links it provided to said references didn’t work or lead to empty pages. Asked it to write me some kotlin code to connect to a database and that was only half right. It’s great at python tho.

Chatgpt is fucking marvellous! It saves me a bunch of time. Fuck the naysayers.
