@andros705 Clips are used to quickly insert multiple rounds into an integral (non-detachable) magazine.
Detachable magazines have no use for clips, since you can easily insert the rounds into extra magazines before you need them in a hurry.
The clip in the pic is for my Mauser G-98 (the predecessor to the K-98).

It really grinds my gear, especially in media :D I've recently had to load like 50 clips of 5.56 ammo for a shooting event, god I can't stand loading small calibers into those...

@Jeembo update: found an old autoloader for those and now it's much-much-much easier :D Got it basically as a gift after picking up 2x Burris Scopes at https://gritroutdoors.com/burris/
