    Sometimes I wish I was a polar bear, so that hibernation would have been a familiar concept, to be done half the year

    Learn express or laravel.. just one night and promote yourself as a backend engineer... hahaha

    @setuid0
    Oh man laravel is also not that easy.

    @DonMcCoy that's true if you see it at first glance.. :))

    @DonMcCoy Going from large Haskell and Python projects, to a Symphony website, and now to Laravel...

    I feel like Laravel is beautifully simple to create a crud API website, and excruciatingly painful for anything more complex.

    I think the geographical North Pole has shitty internet as well... magnetic North Pole in Alaska has 500mpbs though.

    @bittersweet agree.. me just use golang for backend api... more simple and can handle complex things 'procedurally'

    I would suggest going to the Room of Spirit and Time

    I learned the basics and a lot of java in about 6 hours.

    @setuid0 I've been looking into Go, it's indeed fast and simple.

    But I don't know if I can get used to the ugly coding style, with all those messy if and for blocks, and lacking so many higher order functionalities. I'd still prefer Python or Rust over Go I think.

    That's absolutely true, I can't say anything more, as you said simplicity to Laravel, Symfony can handle complicity much better.
