In a e-commerce project my client asked for tax calculation with static some x value all the time.

Me: As promised your site is live and please check it.

Client: Checks everything. I want this tax to be dynamic.

Me: That was not mentioned earlier. Now I need to redo the design which takes much time.

Client: You will just change the addition at the end then what's with the design change.

Me: ( I killed him already in my mind)

    Oh really, is it.
    Nothing is as simple as it seems at first glance..

    Dynamically managing tax & probably also currency exchange, could very well Involve implementing a remote api for the tax rates and using something like Martin fowlers money pattern to calculate them..

    Unless you're contempt with accepting the rate at the money of the transaction...

    @lotd later​ built an API for that, but initially he was like we don't need it when I proposed the dynamic concept.
