Has anyone ever tried VS for Java development? How does it compare to Intellij IDEA?

@DasEarl I have a while back, it's ok but a little hacked together in some places 😐 then again I think the same of Java most of the time 😶

100x better than eclipse though!

@DasEarl intellij is dedicated, it's complete with everything. For java the best is intellij

@dontbeevil been in php(5) too, in parallel with my change to c#.
I worked in a company where they were polyglots, wrote in many languages for different parts of the product: c# (mainly), ruby, nodejs, php(2 services), go, Java(android), obj-c(iOS), and of course js for frontend with ng1.
