Spent sometime looking for questions to answer on StackOverflow for the first time in around 2 years... Mother of God the questions have gotten even worse - and there's even more of them.

Quickly decided to leave it for another time, with the level of stupidity out there I kinda get why almost all the regulars have become assholes.

Stack overflow is a place to learn and ask questions as you learn. I can understand getting mad at questions repeatedly asked, but there's no need to be an asshole to someone who's trying to learn. You too were trying to learn one day, so why don't you hop to off your high horse and help the person?

You never know. The person you give a smart ass answer to could be the next Bill Gates that never came to be because you made them mad and feel that all developers are assholes. (Being kind in general is a good thing to do anyways.)

@jhh2450 What I'm bitching about has nothing to do with learning - it is actually the complete opposite. Most posts make it instantly clear that who ever asked the question hasn't even completed a 'hello world' or look at any of the basics, even more are basically just asking people to write code for them or posting dumb sh#t like 'how to hack facebook'.

@jhh2450 Though then comes the argument that the next Bill Gates wouldn't have been discouraged to begin with ;P

(Not that it justifies being on a high horse)
