Up until last week, I was using a laptop with a second gen i3, a HDD, and the same screen. The battery lasted all of 30 mins on a full charge.

I feel the pain, mine is a "portable desktop" i.e. a laptop that doesn't hold a charge at all @jhh2450

@ctmalloy I'd open brackets to get a little work done and 5 mins in, it'd sound like a fucking rocket ship blasting off.

My Dell Inspiron has the same top resolution, but otherwise I don't complain... If I ever feel I don't have enough space on the screen I use my Mint's workspaces - working like a charm so far :)

@nalread It is a fair compromise, but there is nothing like having everything in your face. My next purchase is going to be a 40in 4k TV (I don't game) to use as a monitor. I can't wait

That's how it evolves :) when had totally old shit windows 7 in it 32 mb graphic card which run Wow wotlk, and then it began with putting Linux on, not having functional wifi or Bluetooth and first time running sudo apt-get update or so those are just amazing times man . Yeah if I go on I should write a blog though. P.s then I had dell latitude e4200 :) with macbuntu shit

@freshlyfe I can still send you pick of mine, I hit my pc to the desk so there is still 2cm lines through the display where you can't see anything and still was coding with it .
