What do you get distracted by? I mean, I always look uo when someone walks by, but that's just a sec. I can't hear people talking either, so just listen to some instrumental music.

@tahnik You work at home then? I'd be mortified if someone saw me browsing reddit or smt at work. The pressure of other people being able to look at my screen helps. Also, why do you initiate browsing for something else then your code's bugs? ;p

I lock myself in various rooms and blast music...

@marthulu then imagine there are companies where it's allowed to browse reddit and watch cats. As long as you have your job done. :-)

Though the same of myself. Then started working where I work now. In a small team where we closely rely on each other work. This motivates.
Another thing is that we work in sprints (ever heard of SCRUM?) with well described tasks to do. This helps too.
