!rant Since there was quite some bashing on CMS as of wk60: I want to create a new website for a community I am in but am not really experienced with web development. My plan was to give Joomla a try but after all these rants I am not sure anymore. What made it interesting to me was user management as we have different groups that should manage their own areas on the site. Is it worth a try/what tech should I use?

If you want a cms, probably drupal is the least terrible

But there is always an option of learning some php

@RazorSh4rk thanks I'll have a look into it tomorrow.
My problem with php is that I'd rather not put some Frankenstein like php script out there and CMS built-in post editors hopefully reduce the time I have to spend on helping non tech users..

@liammartens weren't you using an API based CMS or something?
