Any suggestions on how you learn a new language? If I would ask that myself, I would try to make projects as much as possible. So the question might be revised to "Do you have any suggestions what projects can I work on while learning a new language/framework?" specifically python and django :D

Well if you haven't already done the Django Polls Tutorial I would start there. I would then probably do a product browsing site maybe an small ecommerce site. That's just me though, I prefer to try tougher projects right off the bat.

There's this app called "Idea bag" I think for android. It has a huge list on small development ideas and project, finely sorted and ordered. You can even submit own ones, check it out ^^

Every time I need to learn a new programming language or a tech I use it to make a football manager game, it does sound stupid I know, but it is something I like and that I have idea of how it would work.
My advice is code something that you find interesting and useful for yourself and you will learn it faster and face a lot of the problems you could face using it professionally.
