@Codex404 when uploading android apps to the play store, you sign them with a key (store) for production. Subsequent updates of the app must be signed with the same key else google play will think its a new app.
When I corrupted the keystore for my production android app apk. Oh the panic! I ended up uploading it again and telling the users to download the new app.
