Makes sense.

Honestly, having tried some easy application process I think it's a necessary evil.

Because with the easy apply option on linkedin. I could just spam application to 200 companies that I'm not even remotely qualified for or have no intention of ever joining.

Thinking from the other side's point of view, the recruiters would have to wonder whether somebody is just spamming vs a legit candidate that wants to be there. Since it takes them 15-30 minutes on the first call. It makes sense that they want to filter out the spammers.

I mean the current way isn't great but is there another good option right now?
