If u devRant devs can, how about a tab in the app to jst chat with the people online? I guess that cud b nice?

@theScientist well... It wud help with people speaking to eavh other about their dev problems (ie rants) and that wud happen in real time... I guess that'd b more fun, plus people can talk there when they r bored... The community here is amazing so it wud definitely b nice 😊

@Electrux has been suggested before, still seems that is not a priority, there are discord, slack groups for devrant, and a riot.im room for foos/Linux lovers also from devrant (non official tho)

Chat rooms are designed and ready to go, just waiting for development resources to free up.

The existence of the unofficial devRant slack/discord/telegram chats speaks to a need that exists for devs to hang out and chat real-time about code and life without needing to huddle around a single rant. It'll happen, and we'll build it so abuse is kept in check.
