Why do you get so upset when someone bad talks a language? Were you part of designing it?

@simeg Let's say someone insults your friend. You'd definitely feel bad, wouldn't you? Was it because you created your friend? Nah. It's because you like and care about that person. Same in my case. JavaScript is like a friend. ☺️

@aravindio Sure, I understand that. I consider JavaScript my friend too. But with real friends you can criticize them too.

So if say JS is my friend yet it has a bunch of flaws (like any language, depending on who you ask), why do you get mad?
