When you come up with a perfect working model for branching and merging, and everyone agrees apart from the one guy who insists you use gitflow because he likes shiny new things

Why the hate? Git flow is awesome

I'm not hating gitflow.
I'm complaining about people who insist on throwing new technology at problem to solve it rather than thinking about it.
gitflow is a good model. It doesn't fit all problem but as a general guideline for using git it works well.
