monr0e12457yWhy the fuck are you signing in to Windows anyway? That's incredibly bad practise from a security standpoint.
-
I really hate windows online login in thing. One time i accidentally set it up and next day i couldn't log in to my desktop because internet was not working. Scary
-
CurtisMJ4657y@HoloDreamer You mean like couldn't log in at all? I thought it just synced the last password(or hash, I guess) before it lost internet and you can log in with that if it's offline.

CurtisMJ4657y@monr0e I don't use these machines for work so I didn't think much of it before making this rant. Might switch to local accounts now *laughs nervously*

@CurtisMJ yep. Even with internet, it took way too much time to login to desktop.

monr0e12457y@elonmusk there is a significant difference between a social media website, which operates within a program that you have some control over, and signing in to an operating system, which opens up the possibility of every action you perform being monitored or linked to you in some way. Out of context, this could easily be manipulated to make you appear guilty of a range of different actions.

monr0e12457y@linuxxx privacy, and the right to it, is inherently important to me. Metadata can be incredibly useful, I do understand that, but I feel that it is very important to be able to opt out of any metric gathering beyond error resolution - and even then, to be able to control where and when that resolution takes place.
So what feature should we add to Windows guys?
I know! Cloud synced taskbar orientation!
They must've been bored...
