620hun81887y@RafD it's definitely not a social science
"Social science is a major category of academic disciplines, concerned with society and the relationships among individuals within a society." Wikipedia -
Getting chick's for programmers isn't as easy as the social network makes it look. But, you just need to get some confidence, some dranks, and up yo game playa. Also, finding someone who understands and appreciates you for you is good too, never let her go.

It is a stereotype that programmers are heros working on some radical projects that makes billions and change the world.
So to answer your question:
First, girls worry you don't have enough time for a relationship with her. Because, they find you may be obsessed with programming.
And second, even you do, they will feel guilty if a world changing project is deterred or failing just because you have to spend time on her and your kids instead of focusing on a much important pursuit.
Solution:
1) Spend your time on Facebook, trendy movies, comedy, TV shows and sports
2) Stop mentioning Silicon Valley and startup. It is a turn off.
3) Immediately switch to Windows 10 when you approach a girl. Because Linux is the biggest turn off.
4) Social excessively even some activities or topics sound stupid to you -
owithg21687yI think it is because we talk about things that non-technical people don't care or understand. Imagine, if someone came up and started trying to discuss skirt pleat widths because they are into fashion. If you are anything like me, you don't care or understand the difference.
My point is, try to learn normal culture things too. My wife likes me because I can watch stupid shows(like Friends) with her. I might complain about parts of it, but it isn't a discussion on AI and neural networks, or the difference between #ffffff and #fffffe ππ -
Zapp907yWeow, that's some nice stereotypical bullshit. I'm married, every single dude in my company (20-some devs) is at least in a relationship(most of them married tho), most of devs I know personally are married.
Would love all this nonsense about devs being outsiders, weirdos, geeks, whatever the fuck to end. Reality verifies this and proves this to be completely fucking wrong.
Just stop jerking off in your dorm room, go out and don't bore people with programming stuff, you'll be fine -
owithg21687y@shaji hahaha to clarify, Friends is not the most mentally stimulating show. Can I have soup now?

owithg21687y@Alexiussachitha It is hard haha. I spend my days building APIs, so when I get home it is what I want to talk about. good luck!
Why programmers are always loney ...Why we had this much of trouble for getting a girlfriend
