drekhi18587y@jobylie that's why u should have asked for more. If u asked for 4000£ maybe he would have given 2000£.
I think we should also fuck up with them in this way. 😎😀 -
jobylie67067y@drekhi12 for negotiation that would have made sense. But when the devices I need have a fixed price, it usually works the way that the company pays for it so i tell them how much it is. This time, however, they didn't quite understand basic logic or whatever
-
boom5217yLol trying to negotiate with you wtf
Tell him that its fine but you can deliver only 1/4 of the features. Fair deal -
jobylie67067y@boom i would. I actually consider asking the manufacturer to waterjet cut 1/4 of the device I have to buy and send it to his Office. Would get fired, may be worth it.
-
jobylie67067y@boom no, he is not the ceo but something like a cto, but that is not his official title. We work on 3d image recognition, basically we can 3d scan objects and it can track their movement and refine 3d models. I was looking for a 3d scanner to buy when this shit happened.

@jobylie It's not like: "I need a team of 5 people" --"But we have budget for 4" -- "Well, i guess 4 will do for now"
With single item specialized hardware it's kind of an all or nothing thing. Except if there is a shitty budget version, but you still can't easily upgrade that for the difference in cost later. -
Obviously, you are supposed to buy some crypto currency or stock and turn that money into 2k ;)
-
Ghosty2597y@jobylie but did you say that you need equipment and not money? Just tell him that you need that equipment and if he can buy it with 700 - it's just as fine as if he buys it for 2000. Or 7000 rupies or whatever. Do not concern yourself about the money if it is not your problem. Are you a techie or a salesperson?
-
jobylie67067y@Ghosty i am responsible for this project and we don't have someone to buy things so the way it goes is that we are looking for parts to buy and them get the money and buy it on our own.
Me: I need equiptment worth 2000€ for this project
Boss: ok here is 700€
Me: ???
