Anyway, that's the web app? Because on my Android I can't reproduce that and even if you could the comment/rant is saved when leaving the page.
In any case, @CozyPlanes is right, create a ticket there :) -
@Bikonja ya sorry had to say it's in web app as for Android app yes it saves what I last typed and there is no to make it go unless I click x or back, hope it is ok for the web app. Though they need to see majority of users

It would be nice if clicking outside the "Post Rant/Comment" box doesn't dismiss it, I almost lost a long comment a while ago due to wrongly clicking outside the post button (which is not small but somehow I am able to fuck it up lol)
