Hello senior devs.. . What happens if you screw up? I mean if a junior dev screws up, the senior helps.. right?

Seniors don’t skews up, that’s why we have juniors and interns.

but in all seriousness, when you skrew up you just get on with fixing the issue at hand.

I'm a senior developer, I screw up all the time. Hopefully it's nothing major and everybody moves on and learns. That's probably the biggest difference with a junior, how you learn from your mistakes.

It's a feature

Take the opportunity to set an example and fix the shit you broke, apologize to whomever's day you ruined and move on. Everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is how you handle it when it happens.

Don't make it about blame. When something bad happens, the team should pull together and fix it, regardless of whether it was a junior or a senior dev that did it. No dragging anybody under the bus. We're all in this together. 😊

I take the hit but look to come up the best possible recovery plan.

Everyone screws up, it's how you deal with it that can make the difference.
