Am I the only one tired to have to work on a laptop?

    You can connect displays and keyboards to a laptop like any other computer

    But it doesn't feel the same

    Does it feel the same if you buy a computer case and put the laptop inside

    @electrineer problem is that the heat is going to make it slow. That’s my main issue while coding nowadays.

    Lol I didn't notice that @jackpearce wasn't the OP since the avatars are so similar.

    There are certainly laptops that don't thermal throttle. But if you really need a lot of performance, why not compile on a server?

    @electrineer
    Many companies use MacBooks, unfortunately mine as well, so forget the thermal diffusion

    And on a day to day basis, I use IntelliJ based IDE (I know, it’s bad), and many many chrome tabs.

    On my personal computer, all of this runs well.
    But on my work laptop, what a nightmare, especially during heatwaves.

    Do you need a desktop for a change?

    @Tounai MacBooks are also on a different level than "laptops" in how badly they actually work on high loads
