My coworker got fired due to budget & not enough work to do (his work is done, they didn't had long term tasks for him). But he is a junior dev (1y prof. experience in IT, 15y prof. experience in total) and he is now interviewing for nearly a month. Nearly all recruiters say that they are looking for someone with 3y prof experience in his field.

Does anyone has advice on how to get a job with as good as no experience?

Sometimes it’s hard to get past HR/recruiters because they read CVs in black and white. As well as listing previous employment they should also list projects along with any other details outlining their areas of expertise and how they gained it. Somewhere in the CV they should also mention that they believe they have the required experience which can be demonstrated during technical interviews/discussions.

Find a niche that no one else wants to do and isn't too appalling. Then focus on finding a junior position for that profession or field. If companies are desperate enough, they will take you even though you have no prerequisites apart from wanting to become able to do the job.
