As the saying goes "beggars can't be choosers" and I need to get a job.
I got approached by a recruiter in LinkedIn who had attached a PDF brochure.
It seems OKish, but the only part that worries me is "step 3" of recruitment process:
"Invitation to France and have a face-to-face technical interview and meet the team."

Will I be out of bounds if I ask the technical interview (if I ever make it that far) take place into Skype?
There are some savings, but going to France (somewhere between Cannes and Nice in summer period!!!) just for an interview that I might fail is a big gambit for me.

    Ask for a skype interview. If they want you, they'll agree to it.

    @Wack @jAsE
    I will keep both in mind. For now, I'm waiting a reply for the time of the interview call.

    Are you sure they won't pay for it?

    Normally they would pay for such trips, most of their filtering should be done in the first 2 interviews.

    They will probably cover the expenses if you qualify for that round. If it is remote position then Skype will probably be fine too.

    @jens-peter I would love going to the French Riviera, but it's expensive especially this time of the year, hence my tentativeness. Otherwise I wouldn't mind moving there till my pension.

    @jens-peter but learning french though...

    Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful language, et je parle un petite peux, mais pas bon. But still it's hell to study.
