Overhearing discussions/arguments about whether it's pronounced "su-doe" or "su-doo". Come on guys, it's just a matter of preference, it's not a religious battle.

It means "su do", but I say "sudoe." it just sounds better. But yeah... Who cares

Ya, I get the real pronunciation comes from what it stands for, but we don't pronounce other shortened things right, like "bin" or "lib". It's just funny how people get so upset about it

@tytho ah but some people do. For example, I pronounce "char" as "char", but I've heard a person pronounce it as "care", as in the first syllable of "character".
Sorry, I read things the way they look.

Then I've also heard it as "car" which I don't get at all.

It's short for "Super user do {command}" so I am sure it's supposed to be pronounced 'su doo' :)
