What do you mean? Are you talking about like Windows? With the snapping to the side?

Haven't tried it much on Mac, possibly works out of the box, but not sure.
I use total space to allow more linuxish multi-desking.
I think one of the rare apps on the app store does the snap thing you want.
Otherwise, just Google "snap windows Mac" and you should be fine, I've seen the snappy thingy before somewhere.

Tmux for the terminal

I use BetterTouchTool, and I probably couldn’t work a day without it at this point. Highly recommend.
