bahua128017yDefinitely me neither. I would be much more enthusiastic about a company that encourages people to work from home than one that spends lots of money on in-office perks.

Any place I've ever worked that has them doesn't have rules about their use. I recently read it's an attempt by employers to entice people to work longer hours. I honestly don't get it. -
DjSall15617y@bahua why would I work more? I'd just use the fun as much as they allownand than I'd fuck off asap. Rinse and repeat the next day. But don't get fired because of me 😂

Ha, no, I'm not seeing advice. Just opinion. I have no interest in any of those amenities. Even when awkwardly drinking a beer at the office, my first thought is, "I could be drinking at home or in a bar right now, instead of forcing conversation with developers and project managers." -
I appreciate a reason to leave the house, get some steps in, not stay home all day like a lazy bum. Workplace amenities are tiny perks that factor in, but if I wanna WFH one day a week, those perks won’t stop me from doing it.
Question:
Do you appreciate office amenities enough that it makes you want to stay longer than a normal workday? Ping pong, foosball, megajenga, snacks, alcohol, etc.
