over 5 years in "industry" and i still don't feel like i have a fucking clue what im doing

intermediate, senior, etc seem out of reach

and before you know it, it becomes boring and predictible repeating tasks and almost noting can surprise you... you forget how SO looks, forget how to search for help... and starting wondering if it's time to change devisions... ;)

Same here, 7 years although my first internship was joke so let's call it 6. If you look at some of my recent rants you'll see how it's taking me forever to settle in at my current gig

I have written 3 lines of code in the past 2 weeks. I'm not making this up.

Oh wow, now I feel old with 15 years of working in the same branch of software development...

Can't remember when I became familiar and I used to it, but in the meantime my arrogance is fed by not getting impossible challenges anymore. :-P

5 years into the same role, SME in my field, still get imposter syndrome every single day

We all just pretend we know what we are doing, don’t worry. I already forgot css stuff that a fresh graduate would do in minutes.

One of the first things I realised when I started as a professional dev was that no one actually knows what they're doing. They just remember a few important bits and wing the rest.

It's like being an adult, everyone else always looks like they everything figured out, but no one has a clue.
