She probably thinks arrays start at 1. But that's none of my business.

    Damn lua devs ...

    Personally I think everything should start at 0. It doesn't make sense the other way. 1 to 2 is 1 where you could go 0 to 1 is 1 just makes more sense.

    @kaupeyk dude where's 5cm

    @kaupeyk

    I always start measuring from 1.
    I'm 1km tall, for example.

    I've thought about this too long and now I'm mildly confused.

    @kaupeyk surely 0-1 is 1. We count the units covered. I like to think of them as the gaps. At that they can start at any number and not be confused 5cm from 23. One gap two gap three gap four gap five gap... No gap 28. That just me.

    @jAsE calm down pal, no need to start throwing hateful words at people here. We can stay civil
  • 0
    @jAsE not really. First, the photo above is some random idiot not here. Second, measuring is technically done from zero, yes, but I've used plenty of measuring tapes that were fucked up so we started from 1 and subtract 1 from it before. He's not an idiot, you're just assuming he is. Take a breath, you'll be okay

    @jAsE skprog, the one you called a dumb bitch.

    @jAsE oh, then nevermind most if what I said. I thought you were attacking them and I didn't support that lol. Sorry for assuming that, I'm an asshole ;P

    but measuring at 1cm makes it onl6 5cm to 6cm and that makes no sense
  • 0
    6 - 0 = 6
    OR
    Somebody explain that programmers are all insane (and that it is a programmer that is telling you this)
