the original implementations dont allow NULL as parameters so i was coding them to catch that and not end up as segmentation fault. took me that long because the code was not as optimized as it can possibly be
Found this in our codebase, apparently one of my co-workers had written this
i cant believe i actually spent 6 fucking hours trying to write the implementations for string functions and trying to consider having null parameters ehwndbwksbdk wtffff is happening
