For expenses and prize money contacting all sorts of small and big companies and asking for small sponsorship will help.

@MrJimmy ah that's fine! I went to my first hackathon as a substitute because one guy has to quit last minute. Literally had no clue. But by the end of the hackathon I was motivated + inspired enough that I actually made stuff at my next hackathons and presented them
