200kbs... Lucky bastard. Where I am at the moment I have a maximum of 64kbs (dependent on mobile communications), often less (GPRS). Enough for chatting, slack, devRant... but nothing more.
If I need more bandwidth, I have to drive to McDonalds (1 x Big Mac = free hotspot, 10mbps).
I want to switch to internet via satellite soon, but then you have to constantly realign the satellite dish - and it's not cheap either. -
fdgram4867yIs there some simple way to automatically download and start seeding new distro versions when they are released? I'd like to contribute bandwidth but don't have the time to keep track manually.
-
@fdgram Well yes more or less. You can have a script that generates a torrent and starts seeding it via some trackers with your preferred torrent software. Checking for new releases tough will be tough tough as.youd need a script.for.each distro.

No you are not weird you are using your skills to solve your problems, isn't that why we enter this field in the first place?
It was the case to me and ended up paying my bills 😃 -
@ThatDude The only good thing about it, though, is that you hardly see any advertising because it takes too long to load. (at 64kbs)
