Has anyone used an Oracle product that does not suck complete ass?

    @Artemix The original creator was Sun Microsystems though, Oracle just bought them :/, just like Google bought Android Inc. and then Oracle went the patent troll route for this new promising system

    Lol! I downloaded Oracle Linux today to try it out. It does not make sense :p

    You will not find any Oracle-designed products that are pleasant to use.

    That is because they are purposefully engineered to be obtuse so that the only way to get them to work properly is to hire Oracle-certified experts, which means more money in Oracle's pocket.

    @gblues This is exactly what I've experienced as well. The mystery is why people keep falling for it.

    They also acquired some kind of framework called RightNow which, according to Oracle themselves, "helps organizations deliver exceptional customer experiences across call centers, the web and social networks", which is just so incredibly far from the truth. I took over a project which Oracle consultants had started where they had implemented this framework as our Customer Service pages on our website, and oh my god. It was embarrassing how bad it was, both working with the framework as well as they code the consultants themselves had written. It was so impossible to work with that we had to discontinue the agreement before it was over. Money well spent lol.
