Seriously? C'mon. With the knowledge I have now.. I made a LOT of mistakes. First for all, i gonna pay attention to history AND dutch. The dutch grammar lessons were useless i thought until NLP stuff
-
@Demolishun in your case you'll have your pet dinosaurus back and C still received updates and was progressive
-
@Demolishun No, it's still 2023 but you're back to being 10 years old.
Making it the early 90s would make it an obvious choice, isn't it? Everyone would say, oh I would buy bitcoin, microsoft and Apple's shares lol. -
@SidTheITGuy if time went backwards I was going to find your mom and hopefully get better devrant posts here. ;-)
I don't think I want either then. -
@SidTheITGuy kind of. You need the money to buy shades first. I could actually wait until bitcoin. But being the stock wonder child could be great
-
@Demolishun if i would have a kid I would chose one of them too. I could actually safe an ex from death. Got killed. But imagine, parents young again. I often strugle a bit looking at them going to 70's. I would have my brother back that I didnt spoke to in years. Oh damn, i would smash that ten years old button like it's Sasha Grey
-
@SidTheITGuy hmm, think your life's bit harder and competative than mine that you think that waii. 65.. You could get a stroke at 70. You're too old for drugs. And what about girls? Imagine if you would be ten, with knowledge of now and how smart you'll be at 20
-
@retoor I have lost the willingness to get into a relationship such a long time ago. Casual flings here and there, sure no problem.
I don't want to go through the trauma, again. -
@SidTheITGuy you could spend more time discovering how to flex your rizz gg fr fr yes cap
-
That's tough. Hindsight, I had the athletic aptitude as my father and other members of my family, if I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten in crazy shape, like Duane Johnson crazy, then beat the shit out of the bullies that slashed my bike tires and threw my bike in a dumpster. I was around 10, they were 16~17. It happened more than once.
Once I got that out of my system, I'd like to jump forward to 65 and a millionaire. -
@PaperTrail don't, i did literally that because of a bicycle and that was the first (almost) removal of a school. Wasn't allowed to come for a long while. There's a word for that. Literally about a bicycle. It happened regularly. Weirdly enough by best friend from preschool. I've hit the shit out of that person. I shouldn't have been removed. I did tell school first. My parents just didn't defend me very well - they were busy
-
@PaperTrail you could have learned to drive a car and run over those fucks. A few years in juvi and you would be out.
-
@SidTheITGuy like hell we can't. We can hypothetical the hypothetical as much as we want.
-
@Demolishun > "could have learned to drive a car and run over those fucks."
I would have preferred to 'get my hands dirty' in a very public way, if you know what I mean. -
nitnip18131yIt wouldn't be *MY* school life if it didn't involve going back to the 90s. I also don't want to get instantly old, though the money would be nice.
Both options suck. The one about being 10 again sucks slightly less. -
The first one I think. I wanna have a second chance at making friends. I would not waste it.
Possibly with less sucky classmates. Or just... with me being strong enough to not have to deal with bullies. Most importantly I just wanna spend my days with people I like, doing things I like, learning things I like. I wish I wasn't as disconnected as I am. -
kiki351881yBeing a 10yo with the kind of knowledge I have now is clearly not normal. I will be too different. There will be unwanted attention. They will treat me like a genius (and want to lock me up in some education institution), but not like a human with rights (because I’m a kid).
No.
Second option sucks too — I want to live my life, not teleport into 65yo me. Just give me those millions. -
KhanFE11yI think I choose option 2. Because now, I'm 65 years old and have zero dollars in my wallet
-
@kiki That's the whole point of this. Both suck and you have to choose the lesser evil.
-
kiki351881y@Nanos no. I mean unwanted attention. Wait, this kid knows too much being this young. What's the nature of it? Maybe we should watch her closer? Or… conduct some experiments? We need smart kids after all. What's the secret?
-
@Nanos it requires at least five times passing out before you lose friends. Else they suck
-
@kiki do you know what's forbidden these days? Feeling good about yourself. You can't do awesome stuff and tell people about it.
Neighbor, busdriver, saw me for xth time working outside on laptop telling me collegues would hate me if i keep working so hard. That's the attitude these days -
kiki351881y@retoor let the chaos reign. Your personal chaos. When you die, you don't think whether you conformed to other people's opinion or not, you think about the fact that you lived the life that wasn't your own. But it's already too late.
-
@retoor I kinda get their point. When you work too hard among your colleagues, it raises the bar for others for them to match your levels of energy.
That isn't ideal in the workplace I'd argue.
You can work as hard as you want in your home because no one is watching u work. Your results might speak volumes though.
Thing is, this is a problem with freshers joining the workplace. They come in with starry eyes and try to take as much work as possible and some time later they realize they ain't getting paid extra for it. Then the energy levels go down to everyone else's in the office.
Edit: You can work hard as much as u want if its helping you learn. Im not against that. -
@Nanos I do notice that smart people do actually get smarter kids. Also, according to research wealthier children have higher education. So many times a doctor has a parent who's a doctor. We do look like parents. My dad's a teacher and i have the skill to explain everything in an understandable way. My dad's very good. He tutored all my friends in need - when he explains people really get it. According to Einstein you don't understand something if you can't explain it (to x year old or so)
-
@retoor but some notice on intelligente. Education is not all. Very high education swallow stuff quick and go to next subject. Taking everything as true. A bit more critical thinker stops earlier to learn because they don't swallow easy. Sadly, that results in low education and such person will be in someway always be factors behind. But thanks God we all get to vote equally what balances this shit out. All together we're average? Also - no. In the land of dutchies more people are higher educated now what results in rich construction workers since the are not many left 😁 I the end, everything just comes together. Don't worry too much about education. Balance
-
@Nanos when people say you should become a teacher it's a huge compliment. People say to me I should write a book what just simply means I talk too much
-
@Nanos btw, you were once homeless right? For how long and how did you get out of it? I have some experience on that stuff too
Pick one:
Live out your school life again as a 10-year old with the same level of knowledge you have now.
Or,
Be 65 years old with $10 million in the bank.
