Are we all victims of self-inflicted poor posture? Or are there gods among us?

    I've had a bad back since the army, where I once caught an Apache AH-64A attack helicopter that had fallen off of its jack in our garage and held it in the air for a few seconds until another soldier could crawl out from under its belly. This mak s me extremely aware of my posture as well as other factors that are bad for my back.

    I'm not a victim of poor posture, though looking at me from the outside you might think I am. I sit down, or sometimes even lie down in my chair, in extremely weird positions, mostly because they're better for my back.

    However, I'm a victim of bad chairs, and even worse desks that are slightly too high for me.

    I subscribe, but I compensate it with daily gym workouts.

    I had this idea some days ago of attaching some straps to the chair that would keep me from leaning forward and help me keep the back straight

    @Jop- Why would it make things worse?

    @Jop-

    Not if you know what you are doing.
