Good point on how big your sphere of influence is and how many people like you.
However its not like I will just rally all my friends in the corporation one day and make a difference. -

They gathered us one day to discuss about annual employee satisfaction survey
In the meeting, my manager told us that we're going to discuss every point in the survey EXCEPT salary.
Damn, I only joined that meeting to see what they're going to do about our salary. For sure, I will not join the same meeting next year
So we have this team bonding and feedback session every monday, where everyone in the team needs to say what they appreciate of their team member and what they wish the team member would change... The whole thing takes about 2 hours.
Honestly, feel like a corporate BS, what feedback do you want? Just do your job and I am happy with it... Well I guess that's part of the corporate world, instead of just doing your job, it is about how big your "influence" is in the company and how many people like you
