2. Too much caffeine reduces the concentration.
Never heard of the spider caffeine test?

Jappe29137y@Ickerday I also drank 4-5 cups today, but more or less directly after each other.. π

According to experts, 200 mg of caffeine a day is safe. Anything beyond that is no longer healthy.
The average caffeine content of an 8-oz, brewed cup of coffee is 95 mg. Red Bull, 8 oz., 80 mg. Mountain Dew Kick Start, 16 oz., 90 mg.
A single espresso or espresso-based drink contains 63 mg, and decaf coffee contains about 3 mg of caffeine (on average). -
Jappe29137yOh no wait.. I measured it wrong.. :p
I drank 675 millilitre of coffee. Thats about 23.8 oz right? Thats about (23.81 / 8 =) 2.98 cups of coffee.
2.98 * 95 mg = 282.74 mg of caffeine.
100% / 200mg * 282.74mg = 141.37%
So eventually thats 41.37% too much.. :/ -
@Jappe I think the 41.37% won't kill you :)
My mother drinks 5 pots a day - and still lives - but with a blood pressure that goes beyond any scale. -
@Jameslikestea Wikipedia says:
Caffeine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant of the methylxanthine class. It is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive drug.
Caffeine can produce a mild form of drug dependence – associated with withdrawal symptoms such as sleepiness, headache, and irritability – when an individual stops using caffeine after repeated daily intake. Tolerance to the autonomic effects of increased blood pressure and heart rate, and increased urine output, develops with chronic use (i.e., these symptoms become less pronounced or do not occur following consistent use).
However pure powdered caffeine, which is available as a dietary supplement, can be lethal in tablespoon-sized amounts. -
@tracktraps still caffeine does not equal energy, it prevents you from going to sleep, energy is a physical property
-
@Jameslikestea Yeah, that's right. It wakes you up for a while, though. After a certain point, however, it goes in the opposite direction - steeply downhill.
Coffee and a piece of cake (hello Duke Nukem 3D :) ) is actually the best.
