scroach12197yYes fulltime for 5 years now and I love it 😁 but I really can't tell you if it's a good idea. It has lots of pros and cons. But ultimately it depends mostly on you and your colleagues. Some people get distracted too easily or don't find any motivation. I like that it saves a lot if time and I can plan my time quite freely

mundo0349117yFull time for a year, mainly non-dev stuff that gives me enough free time to do dev stuff. :) Good idea if you can control yourself, people will start thinking you have more free time and ask for stuff, the worst part is that you do have more free time.
It is all in Controlling yourself and your time. -
As others said: it really depends per person. I know of myswlf that I wouldnt be able to do the less fun parts if I worked remote. But sometimes when something is fun to make I would like to work remote so I have more freedom and silence.
When working remote I do recommend dedicating a room for work only. -
I work part of my week remote and I think it depends on the person. You don't have your boss or even co workers around you so you have to be focused, and good with time management. I really like it personally since I can see my family more, but I can see how some people can get off track and their performance suffers. I am more of an introvert so I think I do better at home. The amount of git pull request are higher when I am home too 😂
Anyone working remotely here? What kind of work do you do? I have been doing gamedev for 4.5years and want to go remote, thinking of transition to webdev/backend, good idea?
