Wow, very technical and clear documentation:

"While we do not publish the symbol limits for the streaming API, we do monitor for abuse to make sure people aren’t doing anything egregious. Essentially, ask for what you need. Don’t abuse the APIs and you should be fine."

...and, we all know what 'fine' stands for, right?

    They've also told me people get in trouble for doing things server side... then, they show example code snippets in python and C# only (even though it's a websocket connection!)

    Startups and SLAs don't mix. They aren't making a statement because they have to change the rules daily to prevent new clever types of abuse or to save legitimate users from getting fucked.

    This doesn't mean that any particular legitimate user can expect to be saved from the fuckening either, the backlog of these is probably so long that they may take a year or more to get to the group of unjustly limited users you fall in.
