The look on people's faces when they see how much they gotta pay for a domain they let lapse...

    Funny thing. This just happened to my client (through no fault of my own, he forgot to set up automatic renewal and I don't have access to his account) today. He wasn't happy either but at least didn't blame it on me 😂

    Didn't this also happen to google.com a few years back?

    @kamen if it happened to Google.com then it seems like it would be a payout to someone. If I wanted to hide money laundering in plain site I would do it like that.

    Happened to me too. I doubt anyone wants it more than me and I certainly ain't paying what they're charging to get it back.

    @spongessuck

    Well I had this one oldmanmicro.com . I was using it for a micro controller website. But I let it go because every time I searched for it I got links to some dude with a micro penis. Apparently nobody wants it either. You can get any of the domains for normal price, lol!

    @Demolishun well Dick's sporting goods owns dicks.com, so you never know, I guess.

    @Demolishun

    not legal advice, but I always thought it seemed weird how some companties provoked lawsuits and (appeared just by shear lack of effort) to intentionally lose them.

    Easy money laundering scheme right there.
