The company who "hired" me for 6.25$ an hour I'll have to work on a legacy old ass caveman java 8 code for a bank system. And I'll have to do the devops part. Main role as devops engineer

I lied having 3+ years of cloud devops experience

I started diving deep into cloud devops since january this year

Turns out I'll be the only devops engineer working on this bank software building devops pipeline and devops shit!

So now they expect me that im so experienced I don't need help for shit and i could do it on my own!

Am i fucked?

Buy a bag of chips and watch a "devops in ten hours" video on YouTube. Invite your hot blonde feminine gf where you totally sleep with to suck you off while doing that. Thank me later

No. I've never had a company teach me anything.

And they literally have no way of validating your experience level from the sounds of things, so everyone will stay out of your codebase

Surprised banking software would pay so little though. Was my impression, especially with old banking software, that the pay was amazingly good. Might have to do with it being in a different country though, so that's interesting for me to learn.

DevOps isn't that difficult, you can learn it while you work. I don't think there's anything wrong with lying in an interview as long as you can actually pull your weight in the end. If it's too much you can always leave and they would be no wiser.
