One week at new job. No Workstation allotted yet. Is that too much to ask for?

well it happens when company got one Day per month when they place orders. Anyways you can rant whole day!

When you arrived to start your job was it a surprise to them? Because that's the only reason for not having at least a machine for you. I'd have lots of questions about the company in your position.

So you haven't been able to work for a week? Or do you just work on what ever computer is free? Sounds horribly inefficient whatever the answer!

I had to wait months to get a company machine once before...might be a warning sign.

Its a trap. They gave me everything without asking and now always wanting me to sit there without even going for smoke.

My favorite setup was one where a company gave us a tech budget to get whatever we needed. A week before I started, got everything ordered and had everything ready to go by the time I got there. Best thing is that after a couple years, I keep the stuff :) good thing it's a company I want to stay at

you think thats bad, just wait and see how long it takes to get a chair.

Give them the benefit of the doubt, but not a good sign. Let us know when you get it and how the job works out.
