Because it's full of douchebags and arrogant people who keep down voting for no reason!
-
@mohammed ive never seen that happen or has it happened to me ever on SO, are you sure its not just lesser programmers like you?
-
dfox426038yI don't think anyone really hates it. I think there's just things that people don't like about it, like with the structure being so rigid.
One annoying thing someone pointed out yesterday was how their seemingly fine posts kept getting edited with "improvements." I can very well see how that could get on someones nerves, for small edits that are solely an opinion.
So I think it's things like that and maybe some other over-moderation, but I see very few people who actually hate it.
I think a resource can be great and highly valued and still have its problems. -
@dfox yes i understand, but the overly generalized derisive comments are unnecessary yes?

dfox426038y@liveCoder examples, aside from one comment in this rant?
Most that I can remember point to specific issues people have with StackOverflow, and there's many rants/comments praising it. So some positive, some negative, but I'd say overwhelming rants/comments about it are positive. -
dfox426038yDon't take my word for it though, search StackOverflow in search and see for yourself.
Why do you guys hate stackoverflow.com so much? Care to share your reasons and your experiences?
