Yip absolutely hate that. Most tutorials these days use some or other library. Better off just dissecting the library to see how they do what they do.

Yeah I absolutely hate this too, or when someone asks a different question and some moron just suggests one line of *insert shitty library* (jquery?) for something that might take 2 lines of the vanilla language.

I don't want to bloat my project with shitty libraries! I actualy want to learn something!

There's probably a jQuery plugin to fix it anyway.
