I hate it when the inspiration finally comes... and you can't use the PC to compose. Because you're currently at school, or for whatever reason.
Now I'm scared that I will forget my ideas, before I get back home...
Damn, happens everytime.

    Could have ranted your idea instead😜😂

    That's when the good old paper notepad comes in. I never leave the house without one 😳. Or a phone notepad... But then you don't have the fun on decrypting what your wrote in haste.

    @Aaronz Well... thanks for the idea, but I can see that it could be... a bit difficult, to do in text form. 😂
    @Totchinuko That's true, haha

    Alright, wait one sec...
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 1... Done 😳
  • 3
    @Totchinuko Funny xD
    Alright, problem solved (kinda) :>

    I could do a pentagram/stave, but for now I prefer this :3
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 hum *stare at the picture* I'm not sure I understand what it is. 🤔
  • 3
    @Totchinuko Fair enough, those in the picture/drawing are only three (two?) instruments of the song...

    I'm making an orchestral/electronic hybrid (my favourite kind of music), featuring (obviously) an orchestra, harpsichord, classic guitar, and I'd also like to put some synths and stuff, though I still have to implement it.
    Just something to do for fun :)

    That sounds interesting =o. Never got myself into music at all. I'll probably have to, when the time to produce music for the game I'm working on will come.
  • 2
    @Totchinuko Oh! Thank you! But...
    You're working on a game? :o
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 Yea. A small indi game with 2 other persons. For now it's just building a prototype, and then trying to get money out of it. I'd like to have something to show for the end of the year, otherwise it's going to be complicated for me.
  • 2
    @Totchinuko I see...
    Can I see something?
    I'm too curious already x3
  • 2
    Or even, if you could tell me some kind of contact (social network, newsletter) so that I can get notifications when it'll be updated/ready *-*
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 Their isn't much to see at this stage, lots of scenes that we have to link together (I still need to come up with the LOD system that will load those when needed).
    But give me some time to switch back to windows, fix the damn post processing, and take a couple of screen shots.
    I just hope it's not looking like crap. I'm not very confident with myself you see.
  • 3
    @Gaetano96 as for social network, I'm not a big fan of those ._. So far we don't mzake much noise. I ask for people around what they think about some ideas and screen shots, but not much more. We'll start making much more noise in 2018. I could add you to something tho.
  • 2
    @Totchinuko Aww, I see...
    I was never confident, as well, so I know how you feel...
  • 2
    @Totchinuko Alright, fair enough then 👍
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 it just finished to build. I'll see what kind of screen shot I can take.
  • 1
    Get a voice recorder app for your phone.
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 ok, their is some nature shots, and one of the many building that can be found on the island. I don't have the temples loaded for now (they are quite massive) but if you want more I'll be able de add more later (temples, and some shots of the thing that's going to hunt you down). The game take place on a alien planet (I didn't had much inspiration for the trees, I'm not an artist in the first place, and I hate making trees, on top of that, I'm not very pleased of the result with speed tree being non PBR). Also the building are empty for now, content will be proceduraly generated.

    @Totchinuko Omg... WOW. *o*
    That's so realistic! Really well done, congratulations! 💙 :D
    And congratulations also for your first 600 ++s on devRant!
  • 2
    @Wackoo I already have one preinstalled on my phone... the problem is that I was in school, so I couldn't sing it.
    But thank you for the idea! ^^
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 Not sure if it can be called realistic, but I've done my best to have something that look decent. Thanks =). For the details, those are the maximum quality, running on a gtx1070. I still have a lots of tweaks to do to rendering (specialy since it don't run as good on Linux, no sure why yet).
  • 2
    @Totchinuko Ah, okay.
    To me, it looks great, but then again I'm not an expert in graphics...
    Good job nonetheless :)
  • 2
    @Gaetano96 Oh yea almost forgot. If you want to be kept in the loop, send me an email here: totchinuko@lerieur.fr

    @Totchinuko Alright!
    Done. :3
  • 1
    Write it down!
  • 3
    @Gaetano96 please tell me that you are writing bars the way Ableton does it.... Not using a weird ass time signature.
  • 1
    @soolkiki That's what I did!
  • 1
    @ewpratten What do you mean...?
  • 1
    You could perhaps write some details about them down on a note or on your phone?
  • 3
    @Gaetano96 Ableton (computer program) shows bars starting from one so 1 2 3 4 5 is for bars... And it messes me up a lot
  • 2
    @ewpratten Oh, I see...
    I don't use Ableton... But, aside from programming, EVERYWHERE things start counting from 1.
    It's just life, man.
