Good read, to whom it matters react is not a framework but view rendering library. It has grown and changed a lot overtime. If you dont like hooks, I believe class components are still available, just not widely used. Im fairly sure after understanding shortcomings of class components hooks will start making more sense. If not liking react there is plenty of alternatives especially when not interested in setting up plumbing. Maybe go for something else?

@CoreFusionX Well, Estonia is high inflation country, IT sector is rather risky, living expenses are high and competitive scene difficult. Mostly these prices take into account risk that you have 6-8 months without contract. And again this is diamond tier established engineer who has contacts and reputation in local market. As additional issue the hourly rate is mostly for risk offloaded to contractors, as company i cannot fire employees on spot (Law in Estonia regarding firing/laying off is strict) , but contractors can be slashed on a second.

Low rates m8. In Estonia diamond tier senior Java devs go around the 200eur/hour mark . Depending on industry but its impossible to find seasoned professionals under 80 in whatever laguage ecosystem.
-
@alexbrooklyn or was it 127.1 instead :D you know to save characters or smth

These VR adult experiences aint gonna lag in my home.

Although I join you rant regarding politics. Once it was out, and no way to stop it, restrictions were required, to give people who understand the actual details of the problem to time to find a way around, over or trough the problem. You sound like any user who hits the bug in production and expects that he/she is the only user - trust me, you are not. I hope you live in a democratic country and therefore you have opportunity to express your emotions on next elections, by casting a vote or even go for candidacy yourself. Start small from your local community, cause this immediate environment actually impacts your life most. Chilllax and see you on the otherside of this shit times

Only thing i agree is that the fact when I see developer holding phone to make picture of code, that developer should be fired without notice.
-
@iiii well in scientific terms yes. However mbti and big five results have helped to understand each other in many cases and provide guides how to communicate better. So id say if it works for some, but doesn't define absolute truth for anyone
-
Well i think you guys messed up during recruiting. Anyhow from his perspective he is doing things as he knows they should be done. Best you can do is to agree common rules everybody understands, not agrees upon but understands, at the moment problem isnt really that any of you does anything bad to another, just not understanding eachother, and latter can only be solved with communication of expectations and working out common rules of work. Im fairly sure if you explain your qa what you expect from him/her he will try to meet you half way

Its normal, especially in service company. Take a coffee, embrace inefficiency of large company. Fix the tickets in 2 days and complain how much work you have. This helps You blend in
-
So you have chance to spend n amount of hours "reproduction" while really you could do something useful instead serving your idiot manager. Poor you, how can you handle such situation?
-
Good for making jokes, but in reality, matter of personal perspective.. Met extremely poor people who are on daily basis 10 times more happy and satisfied with life than i will ever be. I would say you can buy distraction from everyday life misery but not happiness.

@Angry-dev hmm i didnt notice anything concrete, just abstract that project was difficult and you were not independent. How this independent work was measured, like it is saying to start seeing to blind man. Was your output too prone to defects, was the task complexity too high to you? I believe they just were too stupid themselves to understand the requirements, or interested of training. Cause without concrete feedback its impossible to improve. Hope everything works out for you
-
@Angry-dev Salary isn't the reason if company was not struggling, but i have simple rule about salary , i need to feel comfortable even if the number is public. If then number is too small i dont feel valued, if too big i fell over valued and both cases ashamed so always going to maximum is not for me. Maybe their HR could point out which top 5-10 problems pushed their decision, its very difficult to take criticism, but i myself got fired from my second job mostly because of ny hectic behavior and being not organized enough, as i used my liberty to get offended back then, later i understood that i indeed deserved that, worked on my prioritizing and timetracking over 2 years, became extremely organized and although my startup i had to close, still valued expert in the field in my country + enjoying financial freedom of sorts.
-
Maybe check the reasons behind their decisions, maybe you were over ambitious and oversold yourself. Maybe take a step back and spend learning whatever you find stopping you reach the goals, either skill or character and try again.

https://google.com/amp/s/...
Scroll to location block, regex should solve your problem. Issues will a rise from pathing after first slash, for example if both apps have same path, i would seperate these two, by giving some prefix for each using rewrite in nginx. However rewrite will introduce you to new redirection problems, which mostly can be solved but can become tricky. -
So far i had only one usecase which ngnix couldn't solve - proxy rules for udp traffic. For all regular web routing, caching, proxy problems nginx answer has been yes.

@Hazarth - Not taking that bait. It just grinds my gears, like both languages are fine for the environments they were designed to work. Its just like a construction guy who hits nail with a saw and complains. Both languages also have their flaws.
-
Rate limits + protected routes + input validation, you should be fine.

It depends if the person is actually caring about its job or not. QA without much of a technical understanding can point to bad design, performance issues etc but it takes effort to decrypt from their feedback cause they cant explain in the terms you expect. Just see the person as your user number 1. I made so many decisions that i considered to be good but which were never adopted by users but looking back our QA whined a lot during the development so it was more my mistake and in the end I usually needed to design feature from scratch and implement it after.

@Oktokolo I'd say none of the years was lost. Only 2019 ended with minor financial loss. But I saw the dark side of our business, how most of our creation is used to serve not so noble deeds and sold as innovation just to serve corporate greed. How my solution working, intended to automate and give people more time to improve, was used to just cut more profits via losing jobs. I support progress but not like that, im extremely competitive but i saw a former colleague struggling to keep his house and marriage together after losing its job, to some degree i was responsible for this chain of events happening. So years lost for me - I would say none.
-
@jassole Yeps, they do fine, so noone to blame than myself.
-
@shoogknight No. Its mine and captain goes with the ship. I will keep the company as legal body, like to sell consulting etc, just closing active operations.
-
@asgs maybe, mostly just personal burnout and exhaustion. Probably will take some time off and then try again
-
Best summary of my thoughts too. @root
-
@techno848 haha good for you. Then yeah maybe discuss it with manager and perhaps there are other benefits at your current job that compensate for that gap or you can meet half way.
-
Well its open secret that promotion is up to 20% of salary and reatable with most employees. I as manager had used it if and it works, if employee asks for raise instead offer promotion + fraction of raise asked for. Most say yes. Not proud but this is a tool when upper management doesnt give budget. It will have long lasting negative effects on company culture, but thats a whole other discussion. So dont fall for it if is the case for you, in the end title "senior" just boosts bit of your ego, guy next to you might be senior cause he threatened to leave and ur boss used trick mentioned above to calm his tits. Id say its same as with girls, if you are considering new one there's something broken with old one and its better to break up.

No force in universe will stop stupid people doing stupid things. EU should invest more to citizens education instead of regulations. However i support pulling plug on facebook and some of googles practices just because the amount of lobbying they buy and monopoly positions they acquired by doing this.

I started building my house to countryside, my solution to this problem was diesel generator and ups. It takes few seconds to generator to start, meanwhile ups keeps things alive. My total investment was around 7k eur, but my generator has to keep other utility systems running too, you can setup on budget solution up for few thousand

You are so original, best joke ever. If i need an introduction to my aunts cats funeral, i will hit you up funny man.
