I’ve used OpenAPI to sync interfaces, it’s quite nice! Single source of truth for network models, and then you can map/transform that as you want to make it nicer for either front/backend usage
-
@CoreFusionX oh there was one. but we had two senior devs from different departments, another PM, and the actual tech lead in the meeting
Lots of “but we should also consider X“ heh… I think we got through 5 endpoints in the end. It’s gonna be a monster regardless 🥲 -
Look who’s back! Also Tristana > Jinx
-
Gratz mate :)
-
@C0D4 precisely, I strive to keep my code as simple as possible but sometimes it just can't be groked by reading, and in these situations I'd like to leave one or two lines commenting the logic or reason behind what I did
-
@fuckwit should've explained it better, I think. Production here means what's being merged into master.
And yes, it gets minifed and chunked (SPA) anyway, so comments are removed indeed -
Where's the call stack? You get at least that, right?
-
I'd think so... Interesting question
-
@Ganofins thanks bro :)
-
@rocktim thanks mate :)
-
@AlmondSauce my last gig was a pure frontend one, but I wanted backend experience. I guess full-stack works for my purposes too, and my resumé gets a little boost (I'm a student)
-
Go and React mostly, with a sprinkle of C/C++ when coding the firmware and drivers
-
Genius Bar? Apple repair NPC's? Wut?
-
@scor ping me too, seems interesting xD
-
@coffee-dev they advertised CakePHP and asked stuff about Lumen/Laravel
-
Thanks people!
Also, don't you love when the job advertisement says they use X framework and the interview asks about a whole other Y framework? Fucking hell... Wasted time preparing for the wrong one lol -

@RememberMe that intro riff is so good
-
@xewl I use an older version still, 2.2.1 I think
-
People making objective, well-researched choices? What utopia is this?
-
@KasperNS I'll take a proper look over the weekend, but from the quick skim, it appears quite nice. Thanks again, mate!
EDIT: bookmarked ;) -
@KasperNS woo! Thanks mate!
-
@KasperNS same boat as you, actually! Student (with some professional dev experience) looking to become a DevOps engineering
I know some basic docker, usually from dismantling dockerfiles to build my own -
Nice article!
Any tips on where to kickstart a DevOps learning path? I was looking at the DevOps roadmap[0] so far, but I'm not really sure on how helpful it is.
