That’s it! I have had enough of business development, design and other non-technical departments of the business! STOP making us technical types sit through your demo meetings and circle-jerking each other on how great everything looks and “how exited you are for the future…”!
Look, I’m all for enthusiasm but taking it in turns to make over optimistic comments feels false and nauseating!!!!3
Dear game developers of mobile games,
Please stop making EVERY FUCKING GAME dependent on having coins AND gems that you have to pay REAL MONEY for to oftentimes even keep playing! Or worse still you are kept at a basic level if you refuse to spend!
It’s boring, annoying, and your game is not worth spending like $100 on before getting bored and moving on.
And don’t get me started on ads!!
FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!16
Okay, this has to be said.
I am sick and tired of YouTube web devs who went to bootcamp, developed software for around 1 year, quit… then tell everybody what it’s like to be a “programmer.”
To top it off they become “developer advocates.”
Stop misleading people with your clickbait!16
Have we all been brainwashed to use VS Code? Is there anyone who doesn’t like it? Everywhere I go it’s “you should use VS Code because ‘plugins’ and you don’t have to switch windows when using Terminal. And, we’re moving our toolchain to work with it.”
Well, it sounds to me like you’re trying to hack a Visual Studio IDE on a non-Windows platform, but I digress…
I was going to return to Atom the other day when I discovered that project died near 6 months ago. I’m sad.21
I’m still waiting for Agile to just go away, it is the reason devs burn out and have miserable working lives. I started my career just before it got a hold and I remember those days being great - going to work was actually my hobby.
The worst places I’ve worked had strict Agile practices, the best has had the most loose.
Just go away already, Agile! You make so many devs lives miserable.10
