@Archive Did you switch to the Chaos Physics Engine introduced in UE5 or did you keep PhysX?
As far as I remember Chaos is in a separate thread with fixed Ticks in comparison to PhysX running in the same thread. So a rather big change which can have those side effects.. -
@MadMadMadMrMim A default would be to define the entry point in the configuration and keep it selected in the drop down on the top right. If you hit run, than that's the thing that's get executed. If you want to execute another file with maybe a if name == main Syntax then just right click on the tab of the opened file and it shows you a run 'filename'.
If you have a test directory you can run each test independent (there are run arrows at the location you set breakpoints for each test or testclass) and it automatically creates a configuration for that test file.
Or I just misunderstood what you want to achieve.. -
Isn't it more obvious to have the run configuration next to the run and debug button where it is in PyCharm?
Would never expect it to be anywhere near the project files. The configuration can change on a per file basis so for me it's not a project setting and makes sense where it is in the IDE. -
I have a full size, 75% and 60% keyboard. Currently my girlfriend uses the 75% and I use the 60% and sometimes the full size for gaming. Each has a different switch and feels different and I just like that as many others do.
Probably gonna try out some kind of Ergo keyboard for work.
Another plus is, if you use a board supporting qmk Firmware you are not limited to a specific layout and can for example use the Neo layout on any PC without additional software.
But going down that whole mechanical keyboard rabbit hole is an expensive and never ending journey. -
@brown Manjaro is definitely nice, but I like a minimal install of Arch with just a window manager on my Laptop and not all tools Manjaro comes with. If I'd use Arch on my Desktop then I'd go with Manjaro to have it a bit easier with Nvidia and gaming in general.

@bittersweet and just add a used ThinkPad for 200-300$ o it and be happy. Connect remotely to your Workstation if you need the power but if you don't need to compile large programs from source it's sufficient enough.
-
I can recommend using https://www.manitu.de/webhosting/ in Germany. 2.50€/Month for 50GB, one free domain and unlimited addresses for your domain. I use it to create things like amazon@domain.xyz to see if any service is giving away my address, so I can block them. Furthermore you can host a website if you'd want.

@junon while searching in some forums I found this:
https://www.dettus.net/dhex/
https://www.dettus.net/dhex/themes/
Don't know if this could be sufficient. -
So something like hexyl but with the ability to edit.. Maybe someone made a fork of it with the ability to edit files, but I don't think so.
The only editor I know is Hexcurse as a cli based editor, but I guess you already checked that one out. -
Looks really good!
Maybe you could add a color option for the kind of notification (comments green, ++ red or whatever) instead of using the avatar background as an optional setting to spot the kind of notification in the 'all' tab. -
My next board will be hot swappable to try Zilents and Pandas. MX Speed Silver are currently my goto because of the short travel needed but they are linear and I miss the feedback of tactile switches.
-
What about drawers?
There are different drawers for different things and a struct or array can be a cabinet with different drawers. Guess I would use those as analogy. -
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag und ich hoffe der Kater ist nicht zu groß!
-
@Hazarth I just use a code formatter to keep the same visuals throughout all projectfiles. Like black or yapf for Python, astyle or clang formatter for C++ and so on.

@Fast-Nop Got FTTH (Telekom) in the 20.000 people village I moved to. Couldn't be happier with that.
But looking to every nearby city we are the only ones having that luxury because our mayor is young and cared about fast fiber expansion here. Maybe in 50 years Germany will reach a 50k standard at least in some parts of the country. /s
Until then I enjoy my gigabit fiber and won't move away from here. -

@Bubbles Actually I wanted to try out Node.js just for the sake of learning a bit more about the JS world.
Maybe I'll use Flask as an entry point for web then and later switch to JS and hope that what I learned in Flask will at least help me in structuring a project. -
Actually I never had any problems with my GTX 1080 on Manjaro (I love mhwd) or Ubuntu using proprietary drivers. Even my laptop with Intel Nvidia 960m is working fine. Don't know how nouveau is doing, but I accept using proprietary drivers for my GPU.
-
@vintprox yeah I know it ignores such things and it is actually not possible in the real world. But as far as I know, we ignored such minor details in school like there is no air resistance and everything is placed in the ideal world. 👀
-
@vintprox I found out I was right about it. The only solution ist 0m. You can read it up here if you want to. https://mindyourdecisions.com/blog/...

Wouldn't the poles be inside one another? If you cut the cable in half it's 40m and would be 10m above the ground just hanging down, so there is no possibility to let it hang diagonally and 10m above the ground or am I just dumb right now?
-
@arupam I would say Ubuntu at the moment. Haven't worked so much with Manjaro and I am more familiar with Ubuntu because I work with it every day an I feel more productive using it. But this is all personal preference.
-
Ubuntu (Workplace + Laptop for Work) - No other Distro is supported so have to stick with it there but I can customize it as much as I want. Most of the used software is only available for Ubuntu or Debian if you don't want to go through much hassle.
Manjaro/Ubuntu/Win10 (Home PC) - Manjaro for that Arch feel, Ubuntu for when I feel like doing work on my pc rather than the laptop and Win 10 for gaming. -
Man I love to create those oneliners piping through those commands.

Time to show them if your typing speed can match your speaking speed. 👍
Good luck on that interview! -
Just use YouTube Vanced instead. You can look it up on xda developers.

Because my girlfriend is currently using my Lenovo Y700 I'm looking for something like a refurbished T440s (around 400€) just to throw Linux at it and use it for coding and LaTeX stuff and presentations while I'm not at home with my Desktop.

@Condor It's just a wild guess because it's widely used in this mini Bluetooth devices. But yeah, 1€ device and a Chinese manufacturer with it's own labeling is hard to find out. Maybe you can find some information in the arduino forums when searching for HT6630.
