If your willing to put in the time, Powershell scripts can be extremely useful in difficult situations. The Windows 10 Anniversary update brought the Bash terminal from Linux. Search for "Enable Windows features" and you'll find it under there.

Then there's the Mac itself with it's locked down infrastructure and supported by little to nobody on the development scene. I'll stick with my familiar surroundings.

I am sincerely sorry for this. It appears that a personal (somewhat) friend has attempted to talk about the poor network security which exists in an institution. Unfortunately for him, he knows literally nothing on the topic at hand. Errors are present at essentially every turn, be it that he stated that the network is locked down to specific MAC addresses or that they have blacklisted the ports 8080 and 443; which isn't true either Indeed this has been a gem and a laugh to have come across something like this, again, sorry for the incompetence of my friend who wrote this.
