@boostedanimal thanks. Yes from now on I will log all the sprint ceremonies meetings and unplanned meetings so that I can show them when some user story is not finished because some development hours were consumed by unplanned meetings.

@electrineer because they don't do paid overtimes and the user stories needs to be done.

To sum up estimation:
- real estimate of user story + buffer estimate of user story + buffer for unplanned/planned meetings + tell them N solid working days estimate for the user story

@NickyBones yes from now on I will not only add the usual buffer. I will also need to add the new buffer meeting to my user stories.

I was willing to do this from the start for the sake of the project, team and things to get done but when this will happen all the time then it is really exhausting.

Some quotes say go for the extra mile but doing the extra mile all the time is not realistic. You will get burned out 🤷

They let us developers estimate but then when we say it is really 5 days to complete with submitted work breakdown structure then they will still question that.

So those development hours will have some sudden meetings that will consume your development time. Damn I hate that.

@CaptainRant what's the tech stack of your project? Maybe there are slow and inefficient parts of the code that makes the compiling long. Maybe it needs some code refactoring.

When I was first learning react wtf I was learning class based and now they say the correct way is to use functional components? Different syntaxes confusing at first. Unlike Angular all class based and no JSX

@Fast-Nop the user story for frontend is quite complicated. The UI design they gave me is complex and quite hard. Simple functionality but complex UI I hate that. I'll not do extra validations and other fancy stuffs. I will tell them it will be for the next sprint. I can't do it all in one sprint.

I hate job postings that says:
Must know angular react or vue. Damn it just tell what exact tech stack are you using. Are you using Angular in the stack and you need a slave to fill it up then just say we need Angular. Not the Angular, React or Vue. Stupid job postings!

@sariel just do passable grunt work man. They will always change the requirement even if they say that they don't and you'll have to obey since you are paid 😅

@dmoen we can't argue and complain, we are just corporate slaves that do the work. Cog in the machine. They'll just force you to do it.
